This past weekend, my cousin, niece, and I explored Point Dume Beach in Malibu, CA and WOW, was it BEAUTIFUL!
Point Dume State Beach and Preserve is a hidden gem located on the west side of Malibu. The beach itself is large and spacious, while the preserve offers picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean and flower fields.
Since we went in early April, the flowers were in full bloom. Wildflowers were everywhere, left and right. It was unbelievably stunning!
In order to get to the flower fields, you will need to climb the well-marked and decently maintained dirt path up the hill. Although the hill looks quite high from the bottom, it actually is a very easy walk up.
The Point Dume hike is extremely easy, and usually is not terribly crowded. Come around sunset to get the best oceanic views.
The parking lot at Point Dume costs money. It’s $8 per car before 4pm and $3.50 after 4pm.
Address: Cliff Drive, Malibu, CA 90265-4280
Have you been to Point Dume yet? If not, I really hope you get to go because it is a quintessential part of Malibu. I know you will love it!
