With fall just around the corner, I thought I would take the time to share with you my 5 favorite casual summer outfits I wore in 2019. If you know me, then you know that I’m a sucker for comfortable, yet fashionable clothing.
My summer was packed with fun adventures that I will not soon forget. Some of my most memorable days were spent tanning at the beach, trying new IPAs at breweries, going to Harry Potter World at Universal for the very first time, and exploring Kauai’s immense natural beauty.
While in Kauai, I had the opportunity to go on a thrilling helicopter ride, snorkel with fish, chase cascading waterfalls, eat lots of Hawaiian BBQ, hike the sleeping giant trail, and so much more! If you’re interested in learning more about the best things to do in Kauai, I recently wrote a blog post about the 20 Best Things to Do in Kauai.
Now, it’s time to get on with my 5 favorite casual summer outfits in 2019!
5 Favorite Casual Summer Outfits
This jean romper was one of my go to’s this summer because it is extremely lightweight, comfortable, and flowy. The adorable belt, which is tied into a knot, completes the entire look!
Another one of my favorites this summer was the rattan bag from Ameri. Recently, the gorgeous handmade woven circular purses have soared in popularity. I’m not surprised because the bag is a great neutral color and looks great with pretty much everything!
I’ve always wanted white wide leg jeans and finally found some on sale at Banana Republic! Without hesitation, I purchased a pair and immediately fell in love when I put it on. Not only does it look good, but it feels GREAT! The raw hem detail, high waisted fit, and of course, that appealing wide leg, make this pair of jeans a must get!
The black mule sandals I’m wearing in the picture are from Old Navy and I got them for under $40. It looks identical to the designer brand sandals that would easily cost over $100. At first, I was hesitant to buy them from Old Navy, but I’m glad I did because they are too cute and only 2.5 inches high, so you can walk in them for hours!
Black rompers…can I get a heck yes?! I got this black romper from H&M during the Memorial Day sale for under $15 and it looks great both casual and dressed up. The v-neckline, cinched waist, and flared bottoms make this one of the most flattering rompers I have ever worn! Although this exact romper is sold out on H&M, I have linked to a similar romper above.
Loose floral dresses are a must have in every single closet. I love floral dresses because they are so feminine and beautiful to look at. I paired my dress with knotted white linen sandals from Soludos, one of my favorite shoe companies in the world! Unfortunately, my sandals are sold out, but I linked to a braided sandal that is just as cute!
I am a sucker for jean shorts, especially black jeans that are high waisted and don’t ride up. Since I have a somewhat athletic body with a smaller waist, American Eagle is one of my favorite places to purchase both jeans and shorts because they fit comfortably with no extra gaping in the back.
In the picture above, I was at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, so wearing sneakers was a must. Chucks are undeniably one my favorite shoes to wear around and at the gym. The classic, clean look looks great with pretty much everything!
I hope you enjoyed reading about my 5 favorite casual summer outfits as much as I enjoyed writing this blog post. One of my favorite things about fashion is being able to create an endless number of unique outfits that shows your unique sense of style. To me, there’s nothing better than feeling confident and beautiful in your own skin.
